Finding a penny on the ground.
Finding t-shirts for the kids marked down to a dollar.
To have someone pray for me.
Painting my daughter's toenails.

It's been a while since I've posted. Was either feeling too good or too down to post. LOL. Anyway, here's today's simple pleasure:

Going on a bike ride tonight and see a really old couple walking together down the middle of the street in this secluded development. She was using a walker and pushing it along as he held her arm. Awwwwww. It was such a neat sight. Two people who have probably spent their lives together out trying to get some exercise to squeeze just a little more out of life. Made me want to say "you go girl!" to the woman. I should have.

My simple pleasure(thank goodness I have 1 than 1 - but won't post them all here, lol -y'all know how much I can talk, hahahah):

My simple pleasure is the immense pride I have in myself knowing, while having major depression, I was able to lose 70lbs b/4 turning 40. Although not the MAJOR REASON why I chose to lose the weight, another simple pleasure for me is the single digit pants/shorts/skirt size - SIZE 4.

Ahhhh the little things, there are so many, so here's a few of mine.
Hugs. I love hugs.
Smiles.
Watching birds in the morning, with my cup of decaf coffee, outdoors. Nice quiet time.
Listening to the crickets at night- last night they were a full orchestra!
Watching the clouds and smelling the ocean air at the beach.
Cutting flowers from my gardens to bring indoors.
Listening to the rain fall and thanking God for it.
Seeing a rainbow - awesome one just last week and my family and neighbors just kept watching with me and smiling till it faded. Double ringer.
Chatting with my hubby on a long drive.
Quietly remembering all the blessings I have in life and having the skills now to enjoy my life even more.
Hugs to all of you!

Days off having time to myself or doing something fun with my boyfriend or just being home and doing nothing. Being able to enjoy my day at my pace and do things for me.

These are so fun to read, what a great post!

For me:
My baby boy smiling at me

My two little girls playing together without fighting

"that look" from my husband Wink

Our new puppy's ecstasy at our coming home from work

Just wanted to share-- Yesterday evening as I was walking I was just talking to God and praying for peace in my body and life. I looked up at the sky and there in front of me the clouds had formed what looked just like a white dove. It was huge. I could easily see the wings spread out and the head, just like it was flying above me!

In all fairness, since I gripped in my other post, I love plaing babies with my 2 year old. We bath her, dress her, rock her, even let her suck her thumb before we put her to sleep, which includes a ba-ba, a blankie, a foot massage (yes-spoiling), and a little kiss.
And I LOVE making brownies with my son- and cornbread. Here's to memories that last a lifetime!

Hi everyone. Been away, busy and overworked! But my simple pleasure for today is:

As I was driving to a restaurant tonight I noticed a ground hog standing vertically along the side of the road and watching the cars go by. Kind of like Meerkat Manor the way they stand and survey their surroundings. It just made me laugh out loud how silly the little guy looked. Smiler

This may seam kinda silly to some of you, but it meant the world to me. I had been craving this waffle for almost 3 weeks, and just did not have the courage to go out to the dinner and get it. Finnaly after tons of atempts, being scared out of my mind, and several tears later, I was going to get that waffle. I remember telling myself..."I dont care if I die today, all I want is to just taste that waffle." I got there by the faith of god and ordered, paced the floor till it was ready, and quickly returned home. I sat there looking at my waffle for about 5 mins and began to cry, I then said..."I did it!" I even took a picture of it, thats how happy I was. I will keep this picture forever just as a reminder to myself that I am stronger then I think sometimes, and have to believe in myself more. We all take numerous things for granted on a daily basis, and often look at things and situations like this as nothing. But to me, after all I had went through...this very waffle meant the world to me.
