Today's simple pleasure: Had yoga class today and the instructor gave us homework to look ourselves in the mirror every morning and say out loud "I like myself. I like myself. I am a very special person. Every day in every way, I like myself. I like myself". She paused at the end of each sentence for a second and said it very calmly and serenely. Gonna have to do my homework! Smiler

My Simple Pleasures:

Daydreaming
Mid-afternoon naps
Sleeping on freshly washed sheets
Laughing (I LOVE Boston Legal!)
Reading a book I don't want to end
Getting "runner's high" during exercise
Star gazing in my hammock

Taking my 4 year old nephew across the street to the golf course just after dark. Where we'll catch frogs and lightning bugs, run through the sprinklers, and lay on the greens and talk about important issues(SpongeBob and Scooby Doo).

Spending yesterday at Swedish Days with my husband. We were like teens dating! (our 11th wedding anniversary is in a couple months!) Then we went to church, and then back to Swedish Days!

Been slacking lately. Seem to have just put the program on hold for about 10 days. I think it was my depression taking hold of me again. But need to get back to it!

Today's simple pleasure: going to a graduation party and having a great time gabbing with old friends. Had no problem making conversation. It was a good day!

Yesterday, hubby + me + ginger(9 mths old SHIH POO PUPPY) slept till 10am - yep, 10am - went to sleep @ 12 midnight nite b/4. Then, when we got up: we made 2 little bfast sandwhich's - got something to drink & we all went to this local park nearby. We found a shady spot under a tree(it was big time sunny in NJ yesterday) - & we PLOPPED A SQUAT - right there. We ate bfast, watched a men's softball league play a game & we just chilled.

My little pleasures would be me playing with my son and hearing his sweet laughter; another would be being in my boyfriends' arms and just relaxing in front of the tv.......

My simple pleasure of the day: It was gorgeous outside today, so I went for a long walk on my lunch hour to a really tall building with an observation deck on the 20th floor. Beautiful views of the city. Sing along "on a clear day, you can see forever". Smiler

My simple pleasures is watching my son's face while he sleeps, so peaceful, so innocent; Making my husband laugh when he is trying to be serious; Being there for my mom as she is surviving cancer, we laugh all the time; Walking through our park and smelling all of the flowers; laughing and living in the moment with friends and family; Reading posts like these - they make me smile

Today's simple pleasure: Going for a walk at my local recreation area and coming across a Mommy deer with two spotted fawns. They weren't afraid of people at all. Several of us just stood and watched them...as the fawns checked us out. Such a sweet moment. Smiler
