Hi everybody,
I've spent a long time getting myself to the point where I can go to college and perform onstage, etc, but I haven't worked on travel at all. I've gotten to the point where I'm basically just traveling within my town.

Today, though, one of my professors asked me to house-sit for him for a week, at his home near Philadelphia about an hour and a half from here. It's on a lake, close to major city, the pay is great and I'd even be allowed to have people stay with me.

I really want to go, but I'm just wondering, should I go? Is it too much at one time? I'm willing to put up with the panic in order to do it, but I'm afraid I'll just feel terrible and unreal and panic all week, or not be able to finish my job at all. Can anybody help me with this? Also, what tricks can I use to get myself up there?

Thank you so much!

I think you should do it. Think of how great you will feel for such an accomplishment! It will be a challenge but in the end you will be so proud of yourself! I think you will feel so good about yourself that there wont be any room for panic. Try it you never know!

If you are making the drive by yourself, bring lots of music to sing with...this always helps me. If a friend is driving you, bring some magazines or word puzzles to take your mind off of it. Fiddle around with the stereo, have long conversations!

Best of luck, you can do it!
