OK - so here's how my day started. I had a rough evening so went into the chat room as soon as I got up this morning to get some support. Only one other person was in there and, as soon as I signed in and said "good morning", they left the chat room! All I could do was laugh ...

Canuck, I know the chatroom is quiet in the mornings because most people are up and getting ready for work or haven't checked in yet. Plus this is a holiday weekend so alot of the 'regulars' aren't around much right now.
I've been a member of chat for 2.5 yrs and used to sit in chat almost every hour of the day when I first did the program but nowdays, I only check when I feel like it because like the others I'm involved in outside activities. I know early mornings there's rarely anyone around but stay in long enough and someone will check in. As the program teaches..patience is a virtue. "May God grant us the wisdom to discover right, the will to choose it, and the strength to make it endure." |

Back in September I went in to the chat room just to see what was there. All at once someone came on & said Hi triple”L” & I freaked out. It must have been my anxiety, all at once I thought “what if they ask me a question that I can’t answer or what if I say something stupid.” So when I freaked out I just got the heck out of there LOL. I have no problem walking up to a complete stranger & talking to them so why did it bug me so much to chat on line? Anyway I haven’t got up the nerve to try it again. I do know that my spelling isn’t very good & my typing doesn’t help me out any either LOL. I type using just two fingers, I guess I should have taken typing in school LOL. Anyway maybe the person that left the chat room was for the same reason I left it. Take Care, Triple “L” |

is there anyone that can help me because i have been suffering depression for a month and these is new for me i don't know exactly how to deal with the suicidal thoughts and those anxiety attacks that are scaring me a lot sorry but my English is not completely right I am taking lorazepam and mirtazapine what you recomend for me to do. please help me.

martin just hang in there buddy my name is tim ive been there and it sucks but coming on here to talk to other peaple who are dealing with the same stuff is important it helped me alot ialso pray alot try to find a posotive thought to hang on to like your kids or spouse or something it does get better my granpa always said nothing lasts forever god bless

Martin, if you are very depressed and your having suicidal thoughts you really need to talk to someone professional that can help you, please don't wait. There is a brighter day out there for you, take the first step and express how you feel to someone.

Martin, you may feel down and feel like there is no way out, but you are a creation of God. You are important. The life you have is a gift from God and you must cherish that, don't throw it away. This life is temporary and we are meant to have challenges that come along, we must be strong.

Martin - good for you for asking for help. There are people here who truly understand your pain and will listen when you need to talk. I find journalling my feelings seems to really help take the edge off when I feel out of control. Hang in there; you will come through it.
