I am flooded and overwhelmed with these thoughts. It is amazing how many there are. I knew they were there but man, they have a whole army, with full reinforcements. It is a daunting task.
Thanks for any input,
Deb

I just started session 3 yesterday. So far I'm not feeling overwhelmed with the information, but that's kind of how I felt on session 2. There's no time limit on this so if you feel the need to take longer do it. Do whatever makes you feel better. Just take your time and good luck!

I have worked on this one for two weeks. It's a real adjustment for me.

Yep, I am going to do week 3 again this week. With Thanksgiving last week I knew it was going to be a challenge. I kinda decided going into the holiday that I would be doing week 3 again.
This is probably the best week for me to do twice. I wouldn't feel like have to get a lesson complete in a week. You bought them, they're your tapes you can use them however you want.

Good luck on session 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol This made me laugh

"I knew they were there but man, they have a whole army, with full reinforcements. It is a daunting task."

Because wow, isnt' that the truth! What's exciting though? Is that the positive thoughts have an even bigger army & with stronger reinforcements, we just need to create it! And if we can create our negative thoughts, we can most certainly create the positive ones Smiler

I had a really rough few days when I frist started wk3 of this program, and still face it from time to time. But it excites me to think that each day I do my best, is a day closer to getting over this & having my thinking process changed for the better.

I too plan on doing this session for two weeks, it's a huge one for me & I know I'll benefit from working on it a bit longer. Best of luck to you!! I'd love to hear how things are going for you as you go through your two wks of session 3 Smiler

Hang in there!

Thank you all for your input, it has helped me be ok with giving myself permission to take some extra time on week three. It is a simple concept but it sure isn't easy to implement. I am trying to focus on overreacting to the things I do well. Like, woo hoo! I washed my face, brushed my hair and teeth before I took my daughter to preschool! I even put on clean underwear. WHAT A CHAMP! Smiler
Trying to give the positive ones more power and focused so I am not so overwhelmed by the flood of negative ones. Thank you again, glad to hear others are giving this one some extra time too!

Hi,

Good for you!!! I also took longer than a week for Session 3. I am on week 11 now and in fact, I have gone back to Session 3 and listened to it several times.

I know what you mean about praising yourself for the small stuff you do...although I haven't mastered that yet!!!

Good luck.

mamad,
Thanks for your response. How do you feel at week 11? I am glad to hear so many who have taken extra time on this, I know this is one I will definitely be referring to as I move forward too.

I think this is the most important session of all. Its hard to break the negative thought habit. Were also doing it for a second week.Practice, practice, practice. My son has been out of school because of his anxiety issues all but the first two days of the year. We spent the day in his third grade class today! Woo-hoo! He finally got in there and, what do you know? It turned out to be a pretty good experience Big Grin He was very proud of himself and I was too. He even volunteered to read in front of the class and participated fully. It was amazing. We went from "I won't" in the morning, to "I can't", to "I did" in the afternoon. I have to get him on here so he can meet you all.
