I'm on my third day of the program.I am also taking zoloft. I feel my heart racing and I'm not sure if it's a side effect or the anxiety itself. I recently had a surgery and have been out of work for a month. I freaked myself out with alot of doctors visits and tests done. I thought after the surgery was over, the fear and anxiety would go away. I am having trouble sleeping, and wake up in sweats. I also wanted to see a therapists but unfortunately there is only one in my hometown that has a waiting list. Well I'm so glad I'm not alone in this. My family just keeps telling me to fight it. Does anyone take zoloft?

It might be good to go to www.ask.com and put in the search box for the words "zoloft drug side effects" and see what it brings up for any side effects (if any) to relate to.

Hi Liz29,
I take zoloft and have never had any side effects. Sometimes when you first start a medicine you notice side effects but they usually go away after 3-5 days. It's always best to let your prescriber know about any side effects that concern you. Good luck.

Hey, Liz -
I've been on a number of different meds, including Zoloft. If you're taking it at night, you may want to check with your dr to check out taking your dose in the morning, instead of at night.
Many people have to try different meds until they find the one that works best for them. Don't give up -- check with your doctor and ask about alternatives if Zoloft isn't the one for you.
Good luck.

Hi liz I take zoloft too, i just started the program today also. When i first atarted to take the pill my heart would race too. But I was so scared to take it I figured it was that. Pills freak me out and especially mental pills. It still does it sometimes but I just got to fight it. If it continues to do this you should see your doctar though and tell them. Well Ill put you in my prayers liz, Jocelyn
