I listened to the relaxation CD and Lesson 1 yesterday. I also started the workbook and I felt more anxious. All day today I feel anxious too. The breathing exercises are so hard. I don't know how to relax. Does anyone else feel like this starting the program?

Hi Raquel,
Welcome. Good for you for getting the program and working it. It is true that you may feel more anxious as you work the program initially. Of course, you are facing things that are bothering you in your thinking and the prospect of change is intimidating. But I can tell you that there is life beyond the fear. You are not your fear- it's just like hitting a pothole in the road. Keep at the program and keep at the relaxation tape. It will get better! |

Could someone tell me if Sessions 1 and 2 so far, the cd's are just people talking and a blank screen. Frankly, I am a little disappointed so far in the material. I am an educator for over 30 years and it just seems so far they are just having a b.s. session on anxiety, panic attacks, etc. So far, I have heard all of this before. I don't want to be a spoilsport, I just hope it helps more.

The program is truly wonderful! It is good to hear things again from time to time. We all need that. Nothing wrong with repetition.
I agree, I wish the audio sessions were available in video or DVD. It would keep our attention better, I think. I believe the program will work. |

hey I believe i just talked to you. They actually do have them in DVD. Their called coaching dvds. Its pretty much the lesson with just lucinda talking on them. No group. |

I have been on the program for 2 weeks (now on sesson 2) I agree that so far when I listen to the cd's they have added a little bit more fear since I hadn't thought about alot of things that they mention on the tapes. Some of the people that share their experience on the tapes, had worse anxiety and fears than I do. Now I feel like my brain is afraid of more things happening like to some of the people on the tape. I am working on the breathin g and relaxation, it has helped. It has laso helped to know that I am not the only one with this condiotion. I am working hard on trying to stay and think positive and that I will make it through this. I still feel disoriented at times during the day. Does anyone else experience the same?

I find the relaxation exercises a bit difficult just because my mind wonders sometimes. It's also hard to do the breathing while Lucinda is counting and talking even though they say to breath at your own pace. One thing that I have noticed in the 2 cds I've listened to and the dvds i viewed, Lucinda seems a bit high strung.

Yes the relaxation cd is very difficult. I try to relax but it is very hard. I haven't started lesson two but I do hope it does not invoke more panic attacks as someone has said. Please tell me it will get better. I wouldn't wish this feeling on my worst enemy.
