Does anyone (or Admin) know if there is a simple way to report offensive posts or posts that are trying to sell a product?

Did you touch base with the offending party first?

Part of many of the illnesses here have to do with a lack of assertiveness. That doesn't mean you jump into an all out shouting match, but simply ask a question for clarification, and or provide a suggestion about your observations to the offending party.

Sometimes, some people infer the objective of a person as improper, and it could be totally innocent and simply providing information that can not be obtained on some free site.

Many people here, truly seek to help others here, and are not schilling for some web site. However, remarks that you deem offensive, is something you should be able to stand up for on your own, or you could simply place the person on ignore. I have had to do that myself, when senseless personal attacks went beyond the pail. Hey, it happens.

I just worry when people seek to restrict the freedom of speech of others. I may not agree with them, but I can also tune them out so I don't have to be offended anymore. So enough the offenders realize no one cares about what these people are spewing.

If the person is so obnoxious and just continues, the moderators will catch on to it, and soon enough, these people may be asked to take corrective action or leave.

This is just meant as an alternative, you can do whatever you wish, but I just thought you might be able to think to avail yourself of some controls at your disposal.

I hope you are not too upset, and then miss out on the beautiful day the Lord has made.

Thank you for your thoughtful answer! I have not experienced anything directed at me, but a saw one post directed at someone else that I thought was nasty, and one post that is a commercial product placement.
