Well this session has been eye-opening. I scored a 43 out of 60 on the Attitude Inventory, which shows just how much of a perfectionist I am! I've always been really hard on myself and have very high (unrealistic) standards. I am spending two weeks on this session because I have a lot of work to do regarding my expectations and "shoulds".

On a positive note, I have been completely off my anti-anxiety medication (Celexa) for two weeks now! The first week was really hard but everyday is getting better. I wouldn't have had the courage to get off my medication if it wasn't for this program. Smiler

The self evaluations and self inventories are terrific eye openers, aren't they? I would have to look back through my journals, but I think I scored about 41 on the Attitude Inventory (last July). Somewhere along the way I went back (because I was feeling so different) and retook that inventory. That time my score was 11. Big difference Wink. You are worth every minute you spend getting better here. Smiler

Hi Theresa 2008,
I'm also on lesson 4. I had no idea how much I 'shoulds' myself and how that has contributed greatly to my depression & anxiety. So, now I catch myself when I 'shoulds' and ask 'Is this realistic, am I setting my goals for the day to high". I keep rereading this Lesson because I want it to seek in deep, but I know they will continue to bring it up during the program. Anyways, it's nice to know there is someone out there that feels like I do.
