Hi there,

1 year ago in Sept I had the courage to end a relationship. The man was very kind and loving but our relationship had several issues. We are still on good terms, we do not seek the other out, but if we were to see one another we would be friendly.

I unexpectantly met someone I love very much right after I broke up with my ex. We started dating 2 months after the break-up and are still together in a very healthy relationship.

I am friends with my ex on facebook along with his mother, sister and several connections I met through him.

I put off adding any pics of my new bf for a long while as I did not want to rub this in his face. My new boyfriend and I recently went on a trip and I asked him to add the pics of our trip to facebook. My initial thoughts were I wanted my friends to see our trip and some of the fun moments we shared.

Self-doubt then kicked in and made me think I perhaps shouldn't have allowed that because my old bf may get jealous and this may be seen as "rubbing it in his face".

My gut is telling me that it is ok, that it has been enough time. My ex is also aware that I do have a new bf so seeing the pics wouldn't be a shocker to him just a reminder.

I've also toyed with the idea of deleting my ex as a friend, but am not sure about that one either because he will always have a small place in my heart.

I know I will find the answer, just thought writing this down would be a starting point.

If anyone cares to make any observations or offer advice, I am always open to listening.

Thanks as always

Angela

I think you should be proud of yourself for being compassionate that you are so concerned. Recognize that as a wonderful quality, but then realize you may be bring too hard on yourself.
You must be a very caring person! good for you!
