I have been struggling with this lesson a bit because I know that my guilt is so deep-rooted that I am having a hard time making peace with it. I can say all the words such as "I forgive myself" etc, but how can I actually begin to FEEL
them? Any tips would be greatly appreciated..

willow,
Forgiveness is a permanant thing, so if you forgive yourself, then LET IT GO!!!, dont pick it back up again and beat yourself up. When Jesus died on the cross, he did it for our sin, and he said, i will remeber that sin NO MORE!!! he trully forgave, and we need to do that to, and its hard to do if its us, but you can do it. JUST LET GO, AND LET GOD Smiler

Would you rather be worried about being perfect or enjoying your imperfections?

What can you get out of it from feeling guilty? Does anything productive come out of it? How many days is it going to take to have ur guilt solve the problem? If you can fix the problem (confront the people involved, appologize) then do that. If not then plan something else to make sure it doesn't happen again. Ur human you can only do so much right and you gatta remember that you cannot control how other people think or react as well. What i do when i feel really guilty is i spend time writing what i feel guilty about down and try figuring out why i feel guilty and what power i have over the problem and what possibilitys could happen. Even bad things have good in them. I mean for instance you get betrayed by a close friend, u learn to protect yourself against that thus u become stronger. Or say you were beat up, ur body would grow to be more defensive against that. What if the thing that happened wasn't as bad as you thought. Ifs its not murder i'm sure it isn't as bad as you think it is.
