I woke up this morning thinking of things from the past and what I'd do different blah, blah blah. Then I made the mistake of turning on the news. I really shouldn't watch that. By 8 am I felt pretty overloaded. Overanalyzing a lot. So I remembered what one of the tapes said about leaving the worries until later at night. I did some yoga and it felt great! Every time one of those thoughts came up I either left it for tonight or gave it to God, because worrying doesn't change anything, and most of what I was worrying about is way beyond my control. Or its from the past and really doesn't have too much meaning.

Cheers everyone!

Deb

good for you Deb!

you followed Lucinda's great advice and it worked.
thanks for reminding me of that. i'm going to start practicing that again because i know that all the things i worry about are just irrational, untrue thoughts and that i can overcome anxiety. we all can!

worry is just so unneccessary, especially when you have anxiety and/or depression. it's just our minds and the thoughts they produce that fools us when there really isn't any reason to worry.
