I've been married for almost 3 yrs and have had anxiety since 2 months before the wedding. My fears have definetly subsided but now I constantly think about a terrible mistake I made either before the wedding or right after. I'm so confused about this that i don't even know when it happened.
I fooled around with my husbands best friend!
I've been thinking about this for almost a year and I want to stop!!
I can't tell him because I love him so much and I don't want to risk my marriage breaking up or hurt him.
Why didn't this bother me before and why is it consuming me now?
Any suggestions on how I can break this cycle!! I need to get on with my life!

Hi,

You really need to just forgive yourself. Everyone does things they aren't especially proud of. Nobody is perfect. This is definately keeping your anxiety going because you are beating yourself up. Forgive yourself so that you can be a good wife to your husband and put this behind you. Atleast you feel remorse about it, It shows that you are not as bad of a person as you think.
My best wishes to you.
