I WENT TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM THIS PAST SUNDAY BECAUSE OF BAD ABDOMINAL AND BACK PAIN AND I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH GALLSTONES. I WAS REFERRED TO A SURGEON AND MOST LIKELY WILL NEED SURGERY TO TAKE OUT GALLBLADDER WITH STONES. I AM SO SCARED, I HAVE NEVER BEEN THROUGH SURGERY, WELL C-SECTION WHEN I HAD MY SON BUT I WAS AWAKE. I GUESS THE PART THAT SCARES ME THE MOST IS ANESTHESIA, WHAT IF I DON'T WAKE UP AGAIN. THERE I GO WITH MY WHAT IF THINKING. PLEASE HELP, I PROBABLY WILL HAVE TO HAVE SURGERY SINCE I WANTED TO TRY AND GET PREGNANT AGAIN SOON, ANOTHER THING THAT SCARES ME TO DEATH BECAUSE WHEN I HAD MY SON I HAD A REALLY BAD CASE OF POSTPARTUM PANIC AND DEPRESSION. I AM SO SCARED OF SO MANY THINGS. PLEASE HELP!!!
THANK YOU. sebsg2001@msn.com Frowner Frowner

I understand. I have to have an MRI in a few weeks and am scared of that, so I can only imagine how scared you must be. I have heard that the test takes 30 minutes and the MRI machine at the hospital isn't one of the new open ones. I am claustrophobic, so they suggested that I take a sedative before, and of course that scares me too! I am sure things will go fine but I understand your anxiety.

Good luck!

Mary
