I have had the program for 9 weeks now and thought that my experience thus far may be helpful to others.
  • The only element of the relaxation session that has been helpful to me is the breathing technique. However when I tried to practice it in sync with the recording it was uncomfortable and caused me more anxiety. I found it worked better for me to just use the technique without listening to the recording.
  • I did well with sessions 1-3 including reading the guidebook and completing the "homework". After session 3 I became more focussed on trying to stay busy to distract myself from negative, and what if worrysome thinking. Because of this I fell behind the weekly schedule of reading the guidebook and completing the "homework". I have caught up on listening to/watching the recordings, and reading the guidebook. I have chosen to hold off on completing the "homework" for sessions 5-8 at this time because I feel that it has been more beneficial for me to get up/out and use some of the techniques of the program to accomplish things.
  • I am feeling much better. This week I started feeling more present like I'm coming out of a coma. I'm more frustrated at this point though because I'm feeling good about accompishing things daily but it is taking so much of my energy to keep my thoughts in check that what I accomplish each day is very limited. Obviously I need more practice at "expecting less and getting more".
