I have been doing pretty good with this program and have hit a road block. I have been dealing with this thought for about 4 months now and can not seem to get over it. I was constantly worried about my salvation and wether I was actually saved or not and once I got past that I hit another road block now it seems that one of the past thoughts about hobbies is now making me think that I might be putting them before God. I feel like for some reason that if I like hunting or any other hobby that I am somehow putting it before God. It just will not go away and when I go to church or read the bible it almost reinforces the whole feeling that I am having. This is soo hard. I am trying to live my best for God but do not want to get to judgement only to find out that I was putting something before him and get sent to hell. Sometimes I feel like it is nothing more than my negative thinking and other times I feel like it is God warning me. Right now I barely hunt or do anything it is making my life miserable because I love to hunt. But I don't want it to come before God. How do I make sure that it doesn't and has anyone ever put out a fleece and asked God to take something away if he really wants it. For example I thought about putting the Bow on e-bay to see if it would sell and if it sold I would know that God wanted me to quit. I probably sound crazy but can not seem to get past this one.

hi! Don't you thnk that God made you love hunting for a reason? He made you who are and if you love to hunt think about this, you are being there in God's country doing what makes your heart smile. In this day and age with so many things pulling us to do this and that, do you think God wants you to be miserable??? HE loves you so much and only wants for you to be happy. I am just starting my journey in this program and in my walk with God, but he is so full of love and I believe he does not want us to be miserable. I hope this helps some....

Even the bible says (quoting Jesus) I have come to give you life and that more abundantly. Dont you know that God created all things to enjoy? That is his plan for us. Dont let the thief steal your joy. Read John 10:10

Phillykiser,
For our salvation all the Lord has ask us to do is believe in Jesus. We are not going to heaven because of what we do but because of what Christ did on the cross.

You need to enjoy the things God has given us to enjoy. We can enjoy His things with HIm. Sing songs take Jesus with you where ever you go. He will enjoy spending time with you.

Start feeding your brain positive thinking. Dont' beat yourself up because you want to enjoy other things weather it be spending time with your family or hunting or whatever. Don't put God in a box He is everywhere.
Enjoy His creation.
The enemy is attacking Christians with fear because if we have fear we don't have faith. Keep working on your faith once that is stronger you will defeat this fear. We are going to make In Jesus name.
You are welcome to email me anytime I will be praying for you.
