I am on Session 4 this week, but am having trouble keeping the daily schedule in the workbook. I have a 1 year old son, a house to keep up, and we're moving and putting things away. I am having difficulty finding time to listen to the session, read the workbook, do the homework, go to the support group each day, etc. unless it is right before I go to bed when I am tired and can't concentrate very well. I have only been able to listen to the relaxation CD once per day since starting the program. I really want to continue so I can get rid of my panic attacks and depression, but is it okay to modify the schedule a little bit and only listen to the relaxation CD 1x per day? I have always had a problem with time management, but it seems to have gotten worse with having a baby, and I feel guilty if I am doing other things and not paying attention to him.

How can I find time to do everything that needs to be done (including the program)?

If anyone has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!

Hi Tracy....I know where you are coming from. I am a single mother with a 13 yr old daughter. I work full time and part time and yes it is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. Yes adjust the program to what fits your schedule. For example I have a 45 min comute to work on the freeway that is when I listen to my CD/Session. I listen to it going to work and home. I have not been even getting my relaxation CD in even once so you are ahead of me there. I do know i feel so much better when I listen to it. I am on session 7 "Being Assertive" this has been the hardest session for me I may even take 2 weeks to do it. So hang in there do your breathing. I know you are probably breathing pretty hard chasing after a 1 yr old.lol That is very hard to do. Adjust the program and work it into your schedule. Good luck! You are doing great! debbie

Hi Tracey,
I agree with Debbie. Do what you can....the last thing you want to do is create more stress. Work the program to the best of your ability and feel a sense of satisfaction! Apply the techniques that you were taught in the relaxation audio....breathe, tighten and relax....and just imagine that you are in the midsts of a beautiful place....and even if you just feel it for a minute.....it will help diffuse the stress, I'm sure.
I applaude you for all your efforts and what you accomplish in a day...applaude yourself and be proud that you are a capable woman!

Thanks so much Debbie and Zainab! Your encouragement and suggestions are great! I really appreciate the advice! It's nice to know that there are people out there with the same problem and that we can all get together on this site and help each other out and let each other know how we are doing!

Thanks again!

I agree...no what you can. Don't let the program be a stressor! You have a lot going on, but relax and try to figure out what you can do and when. You might have to plan a little. I am only on week 2 moving to week 3 and I am finding I need to plan time and figure out a pattern to get the program in. It is important to me so I want to find the time.
