i just started session 3 two days ago and have now listened to it 3 times already have journaled and wrote down my negative thoughts which by the way scares as there are so many but i am having difficulty changing them into positive ones my biggest negative is that i am going to have a heart attack and die so how do you change that i am just not sure how to do this somebody please help

I think it make us more aware of our thoughts by listening to session three. It makes us feel more anxious to face our thoughts. It is a scary thing. Just tell yourself that you are going to be fine. Nothing is going to happen to you. You are healthy and have great people around you who care about you. I am still struggling with this myself, but I am still here :-) Nothing has happend to me. I know i have so much to offer people around me and myself.

Hi, i'm on session 6 but I listened to session 3 again today again because I am obsessioning over not getting the results from my mamogram yet. It did help me to calm down and I try to talk to myself about the realistic thing concerning that. And then I got online and am talking to you. All these things help It's hard though but thats ok remember you are doing the work and praise yourself alot for doing this work. Read your flash cards over and over that helps me. God bless you

Remember that you have already gone through it and you're okay. You didn't have a heart attack. You didn't die. If you could do it before, you can do it again. My biggest fear is dying and not being able to breathe...but I know I'll be fine. Just go with it. Don't fight. We'll both be okay. I'll be praying for you.

Hi panicked,
One thing that helped me, was to imagine that someone I truly love had come to me with the negative thought, and focused on what I would tell them as a replacement thought. It may be easier for you to have compassion for someone else (that you love), than for yourself. Of course, you will, and should, have compassion for yourself, and that will come in time.
