I'm beginning week #3 in Session 2. Yes, you read that correctly. I just don't know how to make time to do this. I work 4-10/hr shifts and on those days doing this program is the absolute last thing on my list of things to do. After work I come home, cook, eat and watch something on tv for a bit and am in bed by nine. On the three days I'm off, I'm just outright lazy and I want to spend time with my boyfriend - not with myself.

I just don't know how to work this program in. I'm afraid to maybe. Thinking about it freaks me out. Plus, now I'm stressing because I need help with other issues in my life. I can't combat everything at once, can I??

When you're ready it will happen. A word to the wise though, you'll give and give and give of yourself; to others and your job and soon you will run out of "you" to give. You don't take time to do maintenance on your self and eventually will break down. I see the question(s) to be asked here, "What requires you to push so hard?" and "Why are you not wanting to be alone?"
I know, me too. It doesn't seem like there is any real reason and, I do in fact spend time alone; with a tv program or sleeping, or some little project that requires I not think to deeply. I watch the clock tick the hours away, and I hate myself more each minute for not doing what I know I should, what others might be expecting I do or what I had planned to do before this feeling set in. Keep trying and make time to do the program even if it is just a little bit of one lesson at a time.
I like this program because she offers a free sample of 7 lessons before you even have to give any information. Says to me that her heart is sincere for us and not our money.
Have a better day for you, you deserve it.

Kelly,

I understand how you feel! I have had the program now for 6 1/2 weeks now and am just starting Session 5. I have had a hard time finding time to do everything the program asks as well. I was told on this site that I could change the schedule in the workbook to better fit with my schedule, so you might try that. Since you work, can you listen to the audio sessions on your way to work? How about doing the homework at lunch?

Please keep trying to work the program into your schedule, and I will as well. We can only get better if we try and make the time to do the program!

Best of luck!

Kelly,

Start with 15min intervals, so do 15 mins then watch TV. On days off, you can find time, make time the sooner you start and see results the more you will do, keep coming back here for inspiration.

The thing is guys, if we don't try and really try hard, we aren't giving ourselves the chance to be free of whatever level of anxiety and panic we have. We have to make time. I know I do because I have hit bottom and need to recover.

Kelly,
Hang in there. I have an idea for your program. Do you listening tape before and after work each day, that will help motivate you. If you feel comfortable have your boyfriend listen to the helping you tape. And he can help you on your three days off. Like Lucenda says it is just 30 days out of your life. It is so nice you can work 4- 10's. I am sure it saves on gas!!! Keep positive. Lynne

I hear you I am a 911 dispatcher and I work 3-12hr and a 6 hr shift. What I do is when I go to lunch I go and put headset on and listen while I eat. Sometimes outside and sometimes in my truck..... the days off I listen to them usually early morning before I get out of bed......I have the relaxation cd on my blackberry and I listen to it when I need a break.... It helps with the stress of job if I can chill for just a few minutes Eeker
